Acknowledging our super heroes was something that Lori and I endeavored to do because we wanted you to know and understand our foundation as parents - reflected through the eyes of our closest non-relative friends. It's easy to look at the family tree and see which branches form our lives - and they do - but it is also important for our child to know and understand who has formed Lori and I.
The adoption process moves forward and we are stronger because we have super heroes looking after us.
